Lee Harris – Don’t Let Your Love Fade Away b/w I’m Gonna Get Your Thing (Get You) – Forte 7″

What a massive slice of non-major Soul outta Kansas city, Missouri!

Around since years and being a dancefloor-filler at our regular Tighten Up and Summer of Soul events at Vienna’s Otto Wagner Pavillon this record is growing in demand and has already become extremely tricky to obtain.

In our humble opinion this is a dream of a Soul record offering two contrary sides which are both of very high quality  in their own right making it unimportant what is the ‘A’ or ‘B’-side’, they do not fight with each other.

So here we have a quality ‘Real Soul’ Crossover tune designed in midtempo harmony by local producer Ellis Taylor backed with a genre-defining punchy ‘Funky Norhtern’ dancefloor delight having the potential to put the dancefloor onto the next level of excitement if played by a deejay with enough knowledge, skills, self-trust and actual ability.

Isn’t it exciting to replace those worn-out clumsy R’n’B tunes with those Funky Soul tunes, both ‘genres’ offer cool rhythmic ‘easy-to-like’ tunes with the funky ones feeling more like the cool thing for the Rare Soul dancefloors of the 2020-decade.
