Los Billtones – Back In Time b/w Put Your Head On My Shoulder – Tip-A-Top CH 7″

Ever wondered what it sounds like when you travel back in time? Luckily for us, Swiss Reggae sensation, Los Billtones are happy to report from their musical trip to Kingston JA – where the year is 1968 and Rocksteady still rules the dance. Flip the disc and you will appreciate that sumptuous Paul Anka, 50s smash hit “Put Your Head on my Shoulder” in new clothes. It’s a BOSS ting and it’s dripping with that heavy, heavy regay sauce!

Los Billtones are musical time-travellers with a sound reminiscent of Jamaican Rocksteady formations from the late 60s, such as The Paragons or Keith & Tex. Rich rhythms, soulful vocals and big feelings are at the center of attention. Their stories are personal and timeless. With three-part vocals, Los Billtones sing about unrequited love, longing and hope, while organ, trombone and guitars compete in delivering heartbreaking melodies. Better get ready, come do Rocksteady!
