Melba Moore – The Magic Touch b/w The Chuck Jackson Rhythm & Blues Ensemble – Little By Little – Kent 6Ts 6th Anniversary UK 7″

*The REAL DEAL!* This is the legendary first-press original which was handed out to the first guests of Ady Croasdell’s 100 Club 6Ts Rhythm’n’Soul Society allnighter’s 6th anniversary in 1986 some 40 years ago.

Never getting released at the time of it’s recording in the 1960s it became one of the ULTIMATE ANTHEMS on the Northern Soul, Mod & also Scooter rally scenes from the late 80s onwards, especially on the central European continent.

A record so very connected with the rise of these youth cultures originating from Britain over here, while the soundtrack on the more sophisticated side (talkin’ ’bout Soul music) was mostly made in USA by Afro-Americans during the 1960/70s.

In the beginning deejays at those specific events often played vinyl LP compilations as few had access to original 45s or could afford them, something that changed later.

When Melba Moore sang: ‘There’s Something About Your Smile, I Swear It Makes Me Weak…’ at the intro of the tune, doesn’t this proper first press original 45 ‘make you weak’?

It’s an ONE copy only-affair of course…
