Big Jim H & His Men Of Rhythm – Jungle Fever b/w Moon People – Hippy Skippy Moon Strut – Bou-Ga-Louw TF 7″

*EXCLUSIVE SOUTH AMERICAN IMPORT 45!*

Obscure cover version of the Chakachas Latin Funk classic ‘Jungle Fever’ which had another ‘revival’ with club deejays wanting to play something different or ‘shocking’ due to being used in Tarantino’s ‘Pulp Fiction’ movie back then. It’s over-sexualisation through these female moans and groans were propably the main reason for that. On this 45 you get a different, groovier ‘hammond injected’ version complete with horny female noises which never before got pressed on a vinyl 7″.

In addition there’s a driving KILLER Latin Funk mover on the other side of the disc, a timeless classic with some kinda ‘Tighten Up’ flava that packed the dancefloors of Mod & Funk events during the 90s. It got heard by a wider audience after being sampled to be the backcore of that 2006 Christina Aguilera chart tune.

The slightly ‘incorrect’ or ‘sexist’ label design is something we principially would not want our good customers having to see, but the record is too good not to stock, also there were Hip-Hop releases with much harder ‘offending’ images, we cannot control what those possibly bored people in ‘Tierra De Fuego’ decide to put onto their records, loos as if they are lacking our European correctness. But their choices of what they put onto vinyl are really cool, all these tunes on ‘Bou-Ga-Louw’ are good for ‘clubplay’, they are quite rare ‘killers’ and definately no ‘fillers’, many being available on the best format for deejays, the vinyl 7″ for the first time ever.
