WOW! What a coupling of 2 great Muscle Shoals sides, both on their 1st time available as commercial release on 45.

A Side: Midnight Affair – a Rick Hall-Dan Penn song, a Fame recording, previously available only as now very expensive 100 Club Anniversary. This is a so-soulful 1974 quality Crossover Soul dance masterpiece which did not come out back then, also cut by the wonderful Sandra Wright on Truth.

B Side: Cross My Heart – cut 1970 at Muscle Shoals Sound, known from the MSS Publishing Test pressing found by Garry Cape, the man behind this highest quality Hit & Run label, around 20 years ago. Then given to UK’s eternal No.1 authority deejay ‘Soul Sam’ lead some deepest diggin’ record scouts finding a handful of further copies caming which considerably increased in valuation. The tune still stayed under the surface and did not get proper recognition. It also got recorded in Muscle Shoals by Tamiko Jones.
