The third in Kent’s series of reproduction singles, with tasteful label colour changes, comes from the Hyperions with their magnificent 1965 Chattahoochee waxing “Why You Wanna Treat Me Like You Do”, a £1,000+ record unknown to many. This atmospheric Northern Soul newie has been entertaining dancers ever since its first plays by Irish Greg at the 100 Club 20 years ago. The flip, “Believe In Me”, is a superb ballad, perfect for Lowrider soul fans who are so eager for new old music these days.
