*LAST COPY!* Fatback Band – Snake b/w Chillin’ Out Remixes – Acid Jazz Spring Revisited UK 12″

Continuing the hugely exciting Spring Revisited series in collaboration with Ace Records, London’s Acid Jazz Records present a new 12” release:

Fatback Band: ‘Snake (Joaquin ‘Joe’ Claussell’s Sacred Rhythm Version)’ + ‘Chillin’ Out (Kon’s Cool Out Remix)’

Originally featured on their 1978 album ‘Fired Up ’n Kickin’’, Fatback Band’s ‘Snake’ has long been a favourite among soul-funk heads.

Now, after having been in the hands of one of Brooklyn’s finest – Joaquin ‘Joe’ Claussell – who gave it the full treatment we happily present a real masterpiece, a slightly bumpy, atthe same time chilled & mellow, dubby & smooth dancefloor groover with heavy ‘Jazz-Funk’ vibes, the perfect ‘beach-sundowner’so much better than most of those trendy downtempo ‘chill-out elevator music’ tunes from those boring ‘Bunga-Bar’ compilations from the 90s/early 2000ds.

Flipside ‘Chillin’ Out’, actually a quite genre-defining title is of the same quality with big name Kon’s ‘Cool Out Remix’ having met great response when released as a digital single earlier this year, here it rightly sees a side of wax for real deejays who play real records.

The limited-edition 12” vinyl continues the beautiful design theme of the series, looking as if it was just sent to a New York DJ pool at the end of the ‘70s…
