Obrey Wilson – Daddy Please Stay Home b/w Lee Brackett – You Get To Me – Kent Select 7″

Modern Soul fans have been singing the praises of ‘Daddy Please Stay Home’ by this veteran Soul singer, a 1975 recording previously available only on a Kent CD whose sad vocal is perfect for this mid-tempo groove backed with a bouncy, more Jazz-influenced track recorded a couple of years earlier which also missed out on a release at the time being an infectious track just waiting for an enterprising DJ to programme it into his set, both available here on a strictly limited ‘Select’ edition
