Have you ever heard about the Mexican American Chicano culture of Soul music and cars from East LA ?
These people don’t ride Lambrettas like we did in our Mod scene here, they take vintage cars and customise them in a particular style, starting by dropping the suspension, that’s why they are called the ‘lowriders’ and it seems that they have an immaculate taste in Soul music.
The tunes listened to by these often zoot suit-wearing Pachucos while cruising down the boulevard and checking out the ladies are slow jams from the moment when Doo-Wop morphed into Soul.
And after one special record grabbed our attention after we suddenly had a lot of orders on it all coming from California, we thought we save some for you, our highly valued premium customers.
This is a limited repress of this super-rare 1966 release, two beautiful mid-tempo dancers, which apart from obviously being heavily in demand with the lowriders from East L.A. is also massive on the current Northern Soul scene and a long-time spin on the Belgian Popcorn scene.
We also managed to get very few copies of the white demo copy for you, only a handful of these exist.
This is really a superb, moody athmospheric, laid back quality pure SOUL record, we can only recommend to buy your copy NOW before they’re all gone…
P.S.: Visit us next Thursday here at the store open til 22h evening, prices on US COLLECTOR’s vinyl still down before next US IMPORT, we recommend to use the opportunity before the next lockdown might come long.
