Barbara Dane – I’m On My Way b/w Betty O’Brien – She’ll Be Gone – Outta Sight 7″
€11.75
In 1960 Barbara Dane recorded ‘I’m On My Way’ on Trey Records, this was her only recording on this fledgling label which released less than 20 singles. Her record was the 15th of the series and has of late been a popular Northern Soul Classic in England. Out of the blue, the big-voiced Country singer Betty O-Brian stole our hearts with this thumping slab of dancefloor R&B. It only took six decades to catch on!
