*WAREHOUSE FIND!*

Obscure version of the Tony Middleton classic taken from a one-off acetate of unknown origin, this was planned as release on our Record Shack label, with only a small run pressed here on a single sided 7″ disc with same label design as the original acetate.

There were only very few copies made, and even though it’s origin had been ‘heavily ‘discussed’ on the UK Northern Soul scene these sold out quickly.

Because of this the release had been cancelled, even though the acetate still seems to be a ‘proper’ vintage one-off thing, we are unsure and will propably never find out the true origin. It somehow looks as if  the tone height of Tony Middleton’s lead vocal track had been changed back then, however this could have happened technically at the time, one theory is that it might have been some ‘studio play-around’ of a sound engineer?

These few copies here come from a forgotten box at our messy warehouse which turned up recently, funnily this ‘controversial’ 45 got blocked on discogs, which is actually good as the only way to snap up one of the very last copies could be here from on our webstore.
