Well, Ben Westbeech did not appear on Disco and Soul revivalists Athens of the North’s 2025 bingo card.

But the best things are often a surprise and so it proves as the Scotsman serves up alternative remixes of his most recent album tracks in a style befitting this great label.

Collaborating with Glitterbox, he carved out two weeks in the studio to flesh out the sounds…

Here in Vienna we’ve been waiting for exactly this! Ourselved hammered Mousse T’s Glitterbox 12″ heavily at Vienna’s ecclectic No.1 House event ‘A Party Called Jack’ very much to the delight of the dancers and ‘blessed’ Scotsman Euan Fryer now delivers a 7″ mix perfect for both House and Soul events which is right up our street!

So we dared to flip sides, as good as the brilliant contemporary Soul tune ‘All In You’ is, the the crowd reacts to is the ‘bumpy’ one…

Nevertheless we hope that people grabbing a copy of this limited masterpiece will not ignore the original topside and get a bit into the more chilled side of sounds that way aswell.
