HOT!* The Afterglows – I’m A Good Woman b/w Open The Door To Love – Kent Select UK 7″

West Coast producer Bill Silva had a whole never released LP of Soul/Rock from the little-known outfit the Afterglows in his vaults.
‘
Among these tracks there was a KILLER cover of Barbara Lynn’s alltime dancefloor classic ‘I’m A Good Woman’.

Any version of this song is popular, but the female lead vocal on this number takes it to another level.

Being a previously unreleased FIRST PRESS OVO (Original Vinyl Only) release will help many deejays to ‘accept’ it and include in their deejays sets, that way it will cross over to many Soul, 60s/Mod & related underground music scenes.

The flipside, ‘Open The Door To Love’, is a Northern Soul-oriented dancer that is both catchy and atmospheric, available for the first time ever aswell and will be greeted as a great ‘new’ release by collectors of this esoteric genre.

This is a limited edition ‘Kent Select’ release, a total sure-shot and easy to play aswell and now available at ‘normal’ price, but we’d guess this might change quickly once it gets played out to the dancers.
