Timothy McNealy – Sagittarius Black b/w Funky Movement No.2 – Truth And Soul 7″

Long deleted US ‘special edition’ press of this very rare Deep Funk classic, which got heard and adopted by a wider audience through the legendary deejay Keb Darge’s heavily influential ‘Deep Funk’ compilation albums from more than two decades ago. When Keb opened the ears to many by doing simillar as in Northern Soul, playing unknown rare 7″ records being Funk and uptempo Disco to a desperate crowd of sample searchers, post-Acid Jazz clubbers and even US big name hip hop’n’house artists/producers who were very impressed by the records out of their own country the upfront Scotsman pulled out. This one got released after becoming a classic at Deep Funk in the US, a prime example of the ‘Deep Funk’ sound a long deleted reissue, only one copy here.
