Here’s a special new mix from DJ Jörg Recordshack dedicated to all fellow home-bound quarantiners forced to endure this shit virus isolation-situation…

OUR MISSION: Revive the good times with classic,
long-time unheard, old school tunes!

This mix is inspired by a recently uncovered old tape of one of JR’s sets somewhere at an Austrian countryside scooter rally – the kind that happened regularly back in the day.

These records powered JR’s way into Northern Soul and set him firmly on track to becoming a highly revered deejay.

“It was all pure party stuff, with everybody on the dancefloor from beginning to end.

That’s how DJ Jörg Recordshack recalls those days.

“This was when the deejays were 100% with the crowd and it was the ‘golden time’ here… when in between all those constantly repeated classics even some new tunes had been introduced.”

It was around the time when many became bored with a stagnant Mod ‘scene’ in the city and began traveling on their Lambrettas and Vespas each weekend to a scooter rally or ‘RUN’ with JR.

Loading his heavy, heavy record bag onto the backseat carrying frame of his TS1 tuned Lambretta, JR would head off to the event to pack the dance floor with his carefully curated party-pleasing playlist.

While the main thrust was ‘Classic Northern Soul, other styles including Jamaican sounds, 2Tone, Mod Revival made a welcome appearance.

Thrown in for good measure were a selection of timely favourites from the ‘Manchester Rave’ scene, a bit of then new ‘Acid Jazz’, and a few funny – but sometimes really-shite – Disco tunes and other better-forgotten obscurities added to the mix.

Here’s a list of the artists you’re about to hear:
