Aloha,

You can expect the best from the Professionals, that’s why Record Shack has something super special in store to lift you up on this lazy Sunday afternoon.

What a great feeling it is for things to start returning to some normality. WE LOVE IT!

Our Record Shack high street store is open again, delivery times are returning to normal and everyone’s looking out for those hot summer SOUL anthems.

What better way to celebrate than than presenting you with this extra special holy grail quality Detroit Northern Soul gem from The Professionals ‘Thats Why I Love You’ in a previously unissued alternative take which never got released in this as good version.

Here’s the deal… the original press of ‘Thats Why I Love You’ came out in 1967 on the short lived Detroit-based Groove City label and never made it to success in USA, but got picked up by some pioneering English Soul deejays and became a dancefloor-filling BIG, all time great Northern classic. Another story of pure underground Soul.

1960s press US copies go for a whopping 5000+ bucks when rarely up for sale and remain in the hands of a select few, mostly UK collectors and deejays.

Here’s the great news! At Record Shack we have something even more exclusive…

This is the rare alternate take – recorded during the very same studio session – as authentic as it gets and we got it released on 45rpm vinyl a while ago available in 3 Record Shack label variations available at a VERY affordable price.

AND we found a forgotten box of the nearly sold out Groove City label copies.

As usual, these are stricty limited and once they’re sold, they’re gone!

These are guaranteed to sell out in no time, we won’t find another box and will not be repressing these.

So place your order now, and make sure to secure your copy.

Have a great Sunday evening,

Jörg

This week’s Thursday 3rd June is another FEIERTAG (Bank Holiday) here so we’ll do a ‘WEDNESDAY DIGGIN’ SESSION’ with the shop being open ’til 22h instead of the usual Thursday one. See ya there!

…here some more soulful selections for ‘Ya!
